WebbI hadn't played Ark prior to purchasing it for the Switch and honestly I was slightly concerned after reading so many negative reviews. I had pre-ordered the game but would not be able to try it until Christmas for that was when I was receiving my Switch console.
WebbIt offers two advantages on the switch: 1. It is portable. That's a given. But it runs pretty much the same docked or undocked and if the tv is occupied I can pick up and play some ark in the other room. 2. Everyone is at the same disadvantage, you don't have to pay for additional maps to get the best dinos.
WebbIt’s pretty bad. Expect a bunch of disconnects and hitting “retry” just to get into the game. However, despite all of this, I somehow was able to ignore the headaches and really enjoy the game, even though I no longer play it.
