WebDec 12, 2016 · Normal operation is squeeze the throttle open slightly, pull the choke knob out all the way, fire it up and as soon as it fires, push the knob back in enough to let it run. Choke blade needs to be about 1/4 inch open. It should be idling on high idle. As it warms up and runs richer, just push the choke in a little more. WebJan 14, 2013 · This arm has 2 positions (1) keeps the butterfly choke closed and allows for an almost 100% opening (2) keeps the butterfly choke almost close and allows for a complete opening. So, now i dont know what position is the right one to start conecting the spring in the thermostat to the tang that controls this arm.
